Our History
Phil McShane founded McShane Mechanical in 1997 to deliver quality craftsmanship and creative solutions to the mechanical contracting industry.
WHAT MAKES US MCSHANE
The company was shaped by his experience working for his grandfather’s heating and cooling business in his youth where he learned the trade from the ground up, developing the field skills needed to become proficient.
With time spent serving the US Marines and a college education, Phil has built the business with the discipline, leadership, organizational structure and business acumen he’s built along the way.
Over the years, our company has established itself as a leading contractor in the HVAC and sheet metal market. Holding mechanical contractor licenses in 13 states, and professional engineer in 5, we’ve provided expert solutions across diverse clients, industries , and locations. And we excel when we’re faced with the most challenging projects, the ones that push us to draw on our decades of experience and the expertise of our staff to solve intricate problems.
We’ve stayed true to Phil’s original vision for the company: to lead a company that embraces integrity, ingenuity, and commitment to the customer – but our commitment to craftsmanship doesn’t end there.
Through involvement in SMACNA Detroit, the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 80 Training Center, and the International Training Institute’s Master Committee, McShane is known for its unwavering commitment to partnerships and its strong support for developing the next generation of industry tradesmen.
